Boom

The synagogues , the cathedrals , the mosques, the temples,
Appease the thunder.
Fear filled and serious , putting on a pedestal what is vunerable.
Pray and obey on the path of the plunderers.

Paradise pleasures put off,
All explained in the competing scriptures
If you don't buy into it you risk having your vital statistics ticked off,
By consultants, on commission, assigned to get to the bottom of matters about which you most care.

Every horror movie must have a hall of judgement.
Every civilization must have its bludgeon,
To keep the traditions of terror a prerequisite for fulfillment.
Music coming from the jingling of the keys to the dungeons.

Thru the layers of doom,
Waiting in wizard rooms,
Can be heard the lowering of the boom.
