a little flicker of colour in the summer

The bugs are more plentiful this summer, except for the bees and the butterflies
but i saw a monarch lookalike in the shrubbery just yesterday
collecting pollen,I guess, right at the doorstep.
A little flicker of colour in the summer.

more destinations unknown,
more angles to explain the angels on the head of a pin.
the chorophyll awaits, feeling vunerable
as does the earth under your feet
spreading out the nutrients for just
a little flicker of colour in the summer

Advice concerning life best put and smoked in a pipe
The sky looks blue, space too far away
to get an insider view except to get
a little flicker of colour in the summer.

Life's a bummer without
a little flicker of colour in the summer.
