stopping to read the code

Squinting from the shine coming off the soul , shakey but not fooled.
People feeling slighted , standing armies are the responses.
The power of resources pooled,
messing with metamorphoses, taking heavy doses.

hearing the thunder reload
hearing the subatomic roll with promises
Beyond the waves comes the sound of wrecks being towed
at times the ears near the bliss
at times there's a shakeout at the edge of the abyss

either way thoughts lock horns
either way the fog disperses
and the wind warns
Losing the bitternes that does the biting,
that gets repetitious.
Cured of calling out curses

On the still of a country road
stripped of stealth and stopping to read the code
